Parametric Wave Art Design → DXF for every board · v1

Panel & Boards
Slat density
Drag the curve up where you want slats packed denser, down for sparser. Total width and slat count stay fixed — only the gaps shift. Ticks below show the resulting slat positions.
Slat spacers
Exact gap between each pair of slats (for 3D-printed spacers). Updates with slat density.
Appearance & paint
Preview/paint colors. Board color paints the front faces; the logo paint color (in Logo carve) fills your selected regions. Pair with Flatten front % for a clean painted panel.
Material & Production
Nesting
Packs the real wavy outlines onto your sheet stock — alternating flip so straight backs nest tight and facing fronts interlock. The live "nested" sheet count above comes from this layout.

Shape sources
Click the pad to drop a source; drag to move; click a dot to select it. Give each source its own Shape below — mix circles, triangles, stars, linear, etc. to build faceted patterns like the reference.
Perlin / organic noise
Image → heightmap
Brightness becomes protrusion. Use a grayscale topo, gradient, or photo.
Logo carve (front surface)
Set the Threshold until the lines you want as boundaries show gray in the preview, then click inside a region to carve it (click again to remove). Hover highlights the region under the cursor.

Placement
Plaque area
Flattens a clean zone to mount a separately-made plaque. Raised = a proud flat pad above the waves (slat-safe, cleanest edges — recommended). Recessed = a flat floor below the valleys (clean edges, but cuts into the slats — keep depth small or raise Base/Additional depth so slats keep material). Export the outline to cut the plaque blank.
Photo cutout
In Logo carve, load a photo and click the regions you want (orange = selected). Those regions get cut out of this flat plaque. Export below.
French cleat + side lock
Cut into every slat's back edge. The 45° French-cleat notches (a bottom hook + an upper hook) become part of each board's profile, flowing into every board DXF, the STEP, and the preview. Cleat thickness = notch depth, Cleat height = tooth height. Wall-rail viz + slide-to-lock animation come next.
Export
STEP is a real BREP solid (one body per board), exported in mm — import straight into SolidWorks/FreeCAD.
